The SCListserv archives and SCListserv (Standard Celeration Listserv)

are currently hosted by the Penn State LISTSERV automated server system.

The SCListserv archives are over 10 years of archived discussion among those working in PT, and is a fount of info on procedural and historical discussions.

If you subscribe (see directly below), you can also actively participate in discussion, request help with specific questions, request a "Chart Parent", and access features not available to public viewers, such as some advanced search functions.

To Subscribe to the SCListserv by webform or email

The LISTSERV server at PSU manages all the various grouplists;the  SCListserv is one of these.

 To subscribe or unsubscribe, you will be "talking: to the LISTSERV server.

 

1. By webform at the PSU website.

This may be the most straightforward way of subscribing, (unsubscribing), or managing your account.

2. By Email

LISTSERV is an automated system; the exact format and text is important, since it interprets the message in the body of an email as a computing command.

 

1. Send an email message

(listserv_AT_lists.psu.edu)

2. Leave "subject" field BLANK.

3. Message text:

SUBSCRIBE SCLISTSERV Your first name Your last name

4. Do not type anything else in message area and turn OFF any signature software.

5. Send.

 

If the subscription goes through you should receive a welcoming reply with "how-to" information from the system and start receiving posts from the SCListserv.

IMPORTANT NOTE: For the automated unsubscription to work, you need to send the email to LISTSERV from the email address that you originally subscribed under.

 

Some folks have trapped themselves by originally subscribing from

janedoe@myinternetserver.com

and later trying to unsubscribe from a different email account

jdoe12@differentserver.com

If you no longer have access or an account at the original email address,  you will have to contact the list owner to request to be unsubscribed.
